It only took me until Tuesday to do the Friday Five! ha!
1. Are you named after anyone? If so, explain.
I'm named after the Tommy Roe song, Sheila. My maternal Gran's name was Sheila too, but my parents insisted that I wasn't named after her.
2. Do you have your children's names picked out already? If so, is there any significance?
They already exist, so, Angus Bruce Wolf for Angus Young and, for my other Gran's town when she moved to Canada from Scotland - a good Scottish name, Bruce is my cousin Andy's middle name, he's Angus's godfather, and for Springsteen too, Wolf for my father-in-law who's Metis (Cree Nation) Swift Running Wolf is his Cree name. Leander Harrison Philippe - Leander is Greek for lion man. We thought it sounded strong and romantic. Harrison is for George Harrison, my first crush - he was animated too - in Yellow Submarine. Philippe was Clint's maternal grandfather.
3. If you were born a member of the opposite sex what would your name have been?
My parents hadn't chosen a boy's name. Let me see, if I had to name myself...I don't know, Aliehs. Pronounced A-ly-es. Sydney?
4. If you could re-name yourself what name would you pick and why? I finally like my name, but my Dad had really wanted to name me Morgan - I like it, I think it was more me for a long time, but I wouldn't change it now.
5. Are there any mispronunciations/typos that people do w/ your name constantly?
I live in Quebec. Sheila is not an easy name to pronounce properly if you're Francophone. So I get Shey-la a lot. Kind of bothers me, but I don't worry about it too much, and I usually teach people who're going to be saying it often to say it properly!
