I aced all my finals. UCLA is a joke. Sucks that I had to transfer back here for family reasons, but I guess I have to deal.

where did you go to school previously?

ucla is kind of a joke, but only within some majors. i suggest just taking the graduate courses now, they'll be more interesting and give you more credit in the end.

Prestigious school on the east coast. Double majoring in economics and electrical engineering. Family had a sort of crisis, moved back. I hate LA, but I deal.

CMU. They're pricy. Cheaper for me to go to UCLA. I started out in CS, got bored.

Fourier transforms are more interesting than counting techniques and god awful CS proofs.

A coworker of mine went to CMU.

CS + Math wasn't bad. You get both the fourier transforms -and- the counting techniques.

I'm sorry to hear that you aren't finding UCLA challenging; do a double major in two years [that was pretty stimulating] or try to do graduate work right now. There's neat stuff to be learned here/there, it's just taught a little slower than one would like...

You think CMU is prestigious?

Idiot.

It is if you're in CS and ECE, or drama.

Jee Monica, I notice on your lj bio you say you're a psychology major. That sure doesn't sound like Econ and EE to me. But lemme guess, all 3 right?

You dirty liar.

I already explained this -- Psychology is a socially acceptable girly major. LA is a counter-intellectual city full of counter-intellectual people with lesser majors. Psychology is the most popular major in the US. Therefore, I'm just catering to what the masses want to see associated with a female: Girly majors.

Plus, I don't want geeks hitting on me.
