A Brief Update
Hello everybody! It has kinda been awhile sine my last update but then again thats nothin new. Anyway....
I am just begining to wrap up performance week of Hansel and Gretel the opera I was cast in (and no Christa, I was not singing). I have had last Fri, Mon, Tues, and Wed rehearsals from 7-10 followed by performances Thur, Fri, Sat and Sun. It will be good to get my nights back, especially since thats when I do most of my practicing. As soon as the opera ends I have the third orchestra cycle the following Mon morning. So yeah, I wont be done with large ensemble stuff until the Feb 20th. After that I will have about a month before my recital.
This morning I taught my first viola lesson. My student is very capable and already practices on a regular basis without being told to by her parents. In our lesson we covered about two lessons worth of material. Hopefully the rest of our lessons will go as well as this first one did. I am also on the process of trying to find a new place next year. I looking for something cheaper and more substantial which will require me to look outside of the city, around Allston or Brighton. So if anyone needs a place to live next September, I'm lookin for a roommate as well. But anyway, it is late and I need to go because I am working as an admissions ambassador tomorrow from 7:30-12:30 in the morning. Goodnight everyone!
