TRY-Cycling back into memory lane...

Sing with me all those who remember the last lines of our University Anthem...
"Malayong lupain, amin mang marating,,, di rin magbabago ang damdamiiiiiin! Diiii Rin Magbabago ang
dammmmmdaaaaaaammmiiii" BOW

Im a UP student. Some days you tend to forget, but today was for remembrance and celebration. After all I was cathing up with a dear friend and relive our UP days. Was soo excited to see

richmondezer (my teammate/competition/confidante/busines partner, napagkamalang asawa ko ng singapore cab driver etc)  again and reminisce/share our thoughts about the future.

It was UP all over again...we ended up being carless and cabbed our way to Katipunan, almost missing sweet inspirations cafe (literally lost!) We ended up talking and laughing non-stop for hours! Though he is younger than me, I do think he is ahead of his days and talking to him again made me realize how brave and determined he is. Five years ago, we went to New York, vowing to be emancipated and live there.

In a few months he will be on a plane to live his dream. I don't even know what I will do next week.
That's ezer, fiercely determined and always ready to try  (go feverish.com.bkk!) anything.
And in that spirit, because of the rain, we we decided to take the (Gulp) tricycle (que horror!) to Starbucks. Mas mahirap na maglakad, ang layo eh, mga two minutes if we walk so talagang wag na lang di ba?

Riding the "trike" (eek, 90s linggo?) was refreshing, hair-blowing and excruciatingly embarassing.
We were screaming to the driver to drop us at least five million meters away from the entrance so no one will see us. Pagpapanggap.com.ph!! Pero ang saya! Misis Diw realty in a trike was just too fun!

As we talked,  made me think about our respective life choices. I saw a very different side of him as he talked about his move. Gained a newfound respect for his fierceness and very real way of looking at life. Promise diw, hindi ka tatanda!

And lest we forget, ito ang mga key learnings(talagang may learnings?) namin from that lunch-turned-coffee extravaganza
a)  Death to youngsters who do not know what they want. Let their mothers take care of them
b)  Wiffiness is wasted on the guileless. May bago na tayong phrase for clueless,
"i need to change my bedsheets"
c)   Ang trike ay 12 pesos na pala (tama ba?)
d)   Pag sinabi ng Honda na ready na by 12noon, anticipate a three hour delay
e)  Puto bongbong is best eaten with a friend who's sharing his original surreal wedding toast  speech -
     go sawasdeekap!

Its buddha's birthday today, and it was well spent with a dear friend. Will miss
richmondezer!
When he's done with New York, will surely catch up with him again in a tiny obscure cafe from our twenties, and take the tricycle to get coffee on a beautiful rainy afternoon.
