She's matured believably here. No longer afraid of he powers but apparently not that comfortable with them either. I like how she's taking on her old role as "Watchtower" in a way.
Thanks! I had trouble with Chloe, especially re: her power -- but I tried to take it back to what I liked about her, and do justice to what I thought were her good points.
What is not to love about Jimmy? I loved that he's Lois figurative standard-bearer because that EXACTLY describes everything that Jimmy is.
I love Jimmy. He's the character who's always doing his best: he can't pull off all the heroic stunts that get characters like Clark/Superman, Kara and even Lois the limelight -- but he tries, and he's fiercely loyal to his friends.
Lois is a star. She just really is! *L* I'm not going to go on too long about her because if I do, I'll never stop. She's probably the opposite of Jimmy in that she's hard on the outside but with a soft, squishy center. She's not a ball-busting bitch and she's not a damsel in distress and she's not an emotional flake-- she's just Lois. You are writing the PERFECT Lois.
I think this is my favourite part. It's hard to portray Lois sometimes, and write *her* as opposed to some fiction stereotype or cliche, and I was really nervous about her characterisation (especially since she's the PoV character) -- but I love her so much because she has all these different facets, and I really tried hard to capture that, so I'm glad you liked her. :D
