If you're a fan of Natsume's Book of Friends you should really check out the Go Natsume 伍!" Campaign! :D :D :D! If you're not a fan of Natsume's Book of Friends yet - it's not too late for you! *grin!* This series is 100% wonderful... I highly recommend you give it a try!
We're halfway through the campaign now, but you still have a lot of time to join! It started on July 2nd and it'll run 'til September 24th! The idea is to show our appreciation for Midorikawa-sensei and the creators of the Natsume Yuujinchou anime. Basically, we want to show them how much we adore the series & also use the opportunity to let them know we're really hoping for a 5th season. *cheeky grin!* We have a book-of-friends photobook section, a fanworks section & even a postcard campaign. There is a lot to do, so go check it out! :D
If you participate, there's a chance you'll win a Natsume Yuujinchou DVD box so make sure you join in the fun!

There are many interesting things on the campaign's official website: for example, there's the Weekly Fan Episodes! Every week, on the same day the Natsume Yuujinchou episodes would normally come out, someone posts a newly submitted fanwork or picture to the website! They even include a fun story to go with the picture & a short message from the fan who sent it in - it's just like a fanmade mini-season of the show! :'D
ANYWAY, JUST GO CHECK IT OUT, YO! *laughs!*
Enough of my rambling now! I went out to take some pictures for my submission today...
First of all, meet Nyanko-sensei! He's my bodyguard when he's not busy climbing trees and getting up to all kinds of mischief. x'D
This is one of the only Natsume Yuujinchou items I own that I am 100% certain is not a bootleg. The campaign's photobook sumbission requires one or more official merchandise items, and it wasn't until recently that I realised... I have a lot of bootlegged material, yo. =/
Well, obviously I have the manga volumes published by VIZ and some magazine items (like from PASH! and Animedia? x'D) b-but I have no idea how to work those into a picture so poor Nyanko-sensei had to come outside today! *headdesk!*
I tried to get him down from there... ^^;;
My face isn't shown because human-shaped youkai usually wear masks, b-but I don't have a finished mask to wear yet! ^^; (I'm still working on that Houzukigami cosplay...)
I gave up for a while in order to get some outfit shots for the Immortal Geisha forum. x'D
Then we got down to business~! I think this is the picture I'll be submitting? It's my favourite. =)

OMAKE! My hair looks so frizzy there? It doesn't like the curling iron + friction from the yukata/carseat/etc. ^^;
On our way back to the car we ran into a lovely lady on a walk with her Shiba Inu called Shinju! :D She asked if I'd mind letting her take a picture of me and Shinju-chan, so... well... I wanted a picture for myself, too? *grin!*
Shinju was such a sweet dog! Sooooo well behaved! :D
I'm still working on a couple of papier-mâché masks! :) Maybe I should wait to submit this one until I've finished those? I really want to do a full kimono outfit instead of yukata, b-but it was way too hot for anything more than a single layer today. I might save it for the Houzukigami!Natsume cosplay I'm planning? We'll see~!
