it blows my mind when blatantly racist individuals pull that liberal/conservative bull shit. since when did racism become part of conservative rural culture? i thought we were beyond that? "they" say the racism label is just a ploy by democrats to destroy conservative tradition, specifically in small rural towns. it's bad enough to be afraid of normal things like wild animals, hurricanes, earthquakes, etc. but now to have to worry about anti-government white supremicist militia members coming after you for just trying to open doors for everyone is terrifying. thoughts of burning swastikas and bloody coveralls comes to mind. the new Hitler wears stone washed denim and chugs Keystone in between farming wheat and fly fishing. i used to imagine retiring to a small town and having a garden, bee hive, fish pond, etc. now i just fear country bumpkin gestapo.
