So I've been thinking about a few things lately. What are my priorities and what are my goals?
A big thing that always comes up for me (and I'm sure it does for many others too) is that I want to be fit and healthy. It occurred to me yesterday that this is a bit of a peculiar goal. I know that with any other goal in my life, I can and will achieve it and a bit of hard work is all it takes. How is this goal any different? Well it's not. It's just the mind-set. It seems harder to get up and do something about it, but once we get started we can see the benefits almost immediately.
I eat pretty well already, lots of fruit, veg, fish and not a lot of meat. I exercise a pretty good amount too. Not only do I train twice a week (and teach sometimes too! ^__^) but I stretch every morning. This means that I'm pretty good, but lately I've been thinking that I want more. Cardio-vascular I'm pretty crap at, I feel despressed sometimes, and every now and then I give in and eat bad food.
So I have reassessed what I want. I not only want to be pretty healthy, but I want to actually be fit. I want to work more on my muscles and more on my cardio.
So yeah that's how it is. This goal is no different to any others in my life, and I know I can do it. And you know what? I think everyone else can achieve their body goals too.
