(no subject)
So life has been pretty crazy lately. I started my job at Camp Discover. Its a camp in the most ghetto area of valdosta and most of the children that come live in poverty(its free to go to the camp). All the children and councelor's(other than myself) are black, and i think its a pretty good experience to be in the minority for once. Im the music director and on the first day of work all they gave me was a rap cd to work with. So, on most days the kids just battle dance and they LOVE it. Heck, I love it. Most of the kids are so sweet and affectionate and loving. They are also all very facinated with my skin and hair...I guess maybe they have never had a chance to touch a white persons hair. I dont know what im gonna do at the end of the summer when I dont see the kids every day.
So, Nick and I are no more. Not even friends, and its quite sad. I never thought we would get to the point where we cant be friends, but we have. We let things go to far and get to out of controll and just started fighting way to much. We both lost our first love and best friend at the same time. I really hope we can get back to a good place again.
I cant even think of how I've been spending my non working hours lately.
Friday night I went to Bungalos with Michael, Lindsay and Ashton and we did kareoke.
Saturday Michael walked over and woke me up and we went to the pool all day long. We layed on the hot concrete at the pool and adopted a pet ant. Sadly, we played with that ant for a very long time. Then we ate and napped and went to the movies, and came back to my place and watched even more movies. Sunday I hepled Michael take care of some things becuase his car is in the shop. Then me, him, lindsay, david and catie went to happy hour. Which turned into us being at Bungalos for a very long time. We met an older guy who was very generous and bought us several drinks and on top of davids previous generosity in the area of drinks, I got drunkish. I cant even remember what I did the rest of the week. I guess just chilled with Lindsay and Michael all week.
There is a picture in the paper this week of me, lindsay and michael. Its an advertisment for Bungalos, a local bar we go to. The fact that this picture of me is in the paper makes me think I go there to often.
This weekend we are driving to Athens to see Justin. Going out Friday night(yay, best place in georiga to go out), then going to the lake Saturday, then who knows what. Im pretty excited.
Ive been so bad at LJ and I promise i will get better.
