om nom nom red wine pasta sauce
1. slice an onion thinly, but do not dice
2. slice a packet of mushrooms - less thinly
3. cut cherry tomatoes in half
4. saute onion in butter till soft
5. add mushrooms
6. add red wine slightly too soon, whoops!
7. let reduce
8. add tomatoes
9. boil pasta.
when pasta is cooked, turn hob under sauce off. eat!
I still have two thirds of a bottle of white wine and quite a lot of gin. I have a vague idea of what I want to do with the white wine (moar pasta sauce), but none at all re: the gin. Does anyone have good vegetarian recipe ideas? My flatmate has suggested I just chug it all, but that is a silly idea. Alcohol is for cooking. Obviously.
