Journal [Entry 054] PSA Medical Island

Aug 07, 2009 20:47

There have been far too many emergency calls from residents complaining of sunburn, dehydration and heat-fatigue in the past few days. This is not a useful use of the medics' time, and nor should they be expected to work extra hours to accommodate idiocy.

Any further cases will not be treated as emergencies, but simply as minor outpatient issues. If anyone finds they cannot restrain themselves from stripping off their clothes and running about in the midday heat, then they do so at their own risk.

For those with a  modicum of sense who wish to avoid such health risks, the medics recommend keeping a supply of drinking water to hand, avoiding over-exertion, remaining in the shade and protecting any exposed skin from the sun.
