I actually made a friend of mine dig out her "MR" soundtrack before she could read chapter nineteen. ;-) Also, seriously, I NEED the "DH" movie to come out so I can make an icon of Naked!Harry hugging Crying!Ron in the snow with that line written on it.
Oh phew, I'm not the only one! I felt like a terrible person for saying that. But EXACTLY! Their era is done, the suffering they've undergone and the triumphs they've won finished, and it is time for the new generation to move forwards. The Marauders are of a time gone by, much as it breaks my heart to acknowledge it. Now they are at rest, together, and I am content.
Like, I was rather miffed by the photograph of the Marauders in which Remus was described as being surprised and pleased to be included in this group, like Peter... and that just rubbed me the wrong way.I know the context of the rest, but eh, I like responding to bits and that made me want to say something, so, friendly non-arguing, k? See, I know how shoebox presents it, and that could be a view, but I always assumed the view JKR was trying to show of it was that Remus perceived himself to be in the same position in the group peter, hence the reaction of is in photos, etc. And plus, prefect and such. Ah well, it's more my rambly thoughts than, yeah

Yes, me too.
He's with the people he loves most now, and that scene with James, Lily, Sirius and Remus was like you said, PERFECT.
I think it would have felt wrong for him to be the only survivor of that...group, I guess you'd call it. This feels complete, in a way.
It made me cry from happiness that they were all together again.
