Okay, so... step 1: try to maintain and be aware of other's live journal.
(other than one brief stint when I was keeping an itemized list of daily activies last winter) I've never really taken the time to post this sort of day to day stuff because it feels really, well, day to day. But at the same time, I'm hoping that it will put more of myself out there and try to create the habit of doing this journal thing properly.
So... Friday. Fairly routine day, rather than actually working I mostly read in my spare time.... Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets... May I just say here that the books are indeed better than the movies? I have made a point of not reading the books until after I watched the movies because I suspected this might be the case.
Turns out that this was a good idea because I will always be able to enjoy both in their own selves.
Okay... so work... bla... we're feeling the wrath of christmas quite badly... so I spent the day putting out fires and dealing with customers.... quite exhausting.
Came home, made breakfast for dinner with _sidonie_ and watched a little TV, snuggled a cat and crashed about 11ish.
Slept well, but had bizarre dreams about my house and my parents' old house... I tend to dream about their house a lot... I think the dreams may have been somewhat Potterfied, in the sense that I was dealing with dank cellars and plants with giant twisty roots. Snuggled with Sid a little this morning and then hit the interwebz (e-mail, DA, ETC).... now I'm settling in for client work for the rest of the day.
