Client work is progressing.
I am becoming a better developer, moving more towards RIAs rather than website, become more AJAXy and more Object Oriented as a developer.
I am building a framework and pragma to make myself a better developer.
I am finding the beauty in code and the code in beauty.
While I am doing this I am laying out a map for the City. For the first novel.
This will be the history of the thing told in intimate and loving detail from the first drop of catalyst in the water until the Today of the City.
I will marry this to Mathematical Catastrophe and to art and music.
Whilst I am doing this I am resuming my research into art and poetry and music.
I am learning the power of the word and the words of power. I have rediscovered poetry this very morning. Powerful words from powerful voices fill me once again. And this is happening so that I might write Searching For A Seed, which will be the poetry to acompany the second novel of the City.
Which would have been the first novel of the City if my wonderful wife, my wife who fills me with wonder, hadn't shown me that the first must be second so that the story can begin at the beginning.
And that will be 2008. And this is my gift to myself, another year older, another year wiser. Another year closer to being able to tell this story, write these songs, share this vision.
A friend once said that I was caught up too much in the storytelling and didn't have the story to tell. They told me to go and live for a few years. They were right. I have lived and now I have a story and a history and a vision, and soon it will be told with all that skill I had begun to doubt I had.
