I'm finding the title of this story more and more pertinent. Jacob trying to put his pieces together is a slow and difficult task cos Billy is right; when you care for two people making a decision is harder, it means giving up one of them (which Bella failed miserably in canon)!
Lila's apology seemed genuine and she sensed the existing love that wouldn't let Jacob closer to her... but Jacob dragging out this semi-situation... *sigh* I know it takes time, it's just odd that Lila would remain in this situation when "we never intended to be serious, did we?"
Anyway, I'll just wait it out, after all it's not Lila that I'm focused on.

Thank you! It is definitely like trying to pick them up and piece them together again. And as for Lila, the we never intended to be serious maybe didn't quite turn serious, but they began to care more for each other (and though it wasn't mentioned, hadn't sleep with anyone else while together). So, that makes it a little harder for her to let go and for Jake to make a decision.. he wouldn't be cruel and just cut her off, though dragging it out isn't all that great either!

They're just a mess right now. But they'll figure things out. :) Thanks for the review!
