I don't know why I'm picturing Lila is a cat or a dog. lol
I didn't expect Jake to touch her heart with his fingers. I expected him to be angry. I was also very surprised he was there.
Quil and Embry deserve to be pissed. Bella was a selfish b**ch.
I feel sorry for Charlie. That's terrible, she never called. His feelings seemed really hurt. :(
I'm very curious what Jacob will say to her. I'm glad I didn't have to wait like 5 chapters before they met up again!

Same here xD I think it's because Lila is a horse's name in a Barbie movie I saw ages ago.

I'm surprised at how many people had that same thought. lol Quite a few readers are thinking cat or dog. Will reveal next chapter. haha ;)

And as far as Jake goes.. this is his *initial* reaction. It doesn't mean there aren't other emotions bubbling inside. ;) They will start surfacing when they start talking! And yeah, totally didn't feel the need to drag that out.

Yeah, Charlie has had it rough.. and Bella knows it. She has a lot to make up for, but the good thing is that she knows it and loves her father. Thanks for the review hun! :)

I always have conflicted feelings about Bella returning post-marriage pre-vamp, because on one hand she's been a selfish bitch and I want to throw shit at her for being stupid and oblivious and just all sorts of a fuck-up, but on the other hand, it takes a whole lotta courage to admit you're wrong and come back. She could've tried to live on without ever telling them, which is what a coward would do, but she does come back and I always give her credit for that. It is, however, quite hard to hate her that way.

Lila, as Willow said, is pictured as a dog in my head. I assume she isn't, after he said "hey", but a shipper can dream. I'll try not to hate her too much though, I tend to do that.

*wails* I want to hug Charlie over and over again until he's happy. It's so sad, his one and only daughter returning after he thought her to be dead.

I tend to feel exactly the same way you do with these situations in fic! She has officially fucked everything up (though of course not all is intentional as we know).. but yes, I don't want everyone to completely despise her! If she grew up a little in the books and stopped being selfish, I think this is how she would have turned out. She's gotten stronger and wants to truly make amends if she can. It does take a hell of a lot of courage to come back!

And yes, the dog/cat thing was almost unanimous in all reviews. And I had to laugh at Lila the horse in a barbie movie. hehe

I know! It makes me sad to write Charlie like that! He needs hugs, reassurances, muffins, and for Bella to grovel for a long time!

Anyway, thanks for the review! :)

Right? I'm willing to give in and fucking hate her in canon. I just do. But in fanfiction, especially when she does come back, I can't, not really.

Barbie & The Magic of Pegasus or whatever. It's awesome. Barbie is sassy and her sister is a horse.

I'm so feeling Charlie's pain and I suffer right along with him. On the other hand I think with all the lies and secrets it will be hard to give a satisfactory explanation to him and he might be always restless about Bella... Embry and Quil, just the opposite in feelings to when they first met. I can absolutely see them holding her responsible to losing their best friend and future Alpha/Chief etc. And I guess they won't forgive her unless Jacob does, Will see. Billy though is sneaky in a way as he knew Jacob was somewhere around... the only thing I don't understand is why Charlie and Billy had a fall out; is it because Jacob left? is it because Charlie wallowed in misery instead of turning to his friends for comfort? Anyway... great job! *clicks on the next chapter*

Thank you! I agree.. it's kind of a double-edged sword with Charlie. You have to lie, but satisfy his need to know.. when you're sick of lying! Or tell him the truth and possibly put him at risk.

And yeah, Quil and Embry are pretty hurt and angry. Plus, I figured factoring in the volatility the wolves feel in regards to emotions would help that along, even though they are usually pretty easy-going.

the only thing I don't understand is why Charlie and Billy had a fall out; is it because Jacob left? is it because Charlie wallowed in misery instead of turning to his friends for comfort?

What happened between Billy and Charlie.. and Charlie and Sue for that matter.. you didn't miss anything there; just haven't gone into specifics yet. I'll bring it up (and probably soon!) Thanks for the review :)

I understand Quil and Embry's anger, her carelessness hurt Jake deeply. But what happened with Charlie and Billy?

Great chapter.

Thank you! And well, since you've read all current chapters, you figured that out. :) Quil and Embry were definitely within their rights to be pissed!
