[Locked from Tom Riddle/Unhackable]

[Raphael, even from the first frame of the video, is clearly not a happy camper. There's too much tension around her mouth, her jaw gritted too tightly, like she's one annoyance away from punching somebody.]

Adstringendum, I have a question for you. [Deadly serious, even compared to normal.] What do you know ( Read more... )

angel bitching: imminent, this means war, !event: body swap, the family that fails together, information gathering, awwww here it goes

... that would depend entirely on what you care to know, and what you intend on doing with that knowledge.

I care to know the outer limits of his capabilities.

[Hermione is smart. Raphael feels comfortable telling her more, since she doubts this one will be pointless and stupid about it. That's what the intelligent, supposedly "good" humans do, right? Help each other.]

He seeks to endanger the entire city if my brothers and I will lie down and let him harm one of our own. We will end the matter with no innocent bloodshed, but only if we are prepared.

[It only hurts her pride a little to pretend to be weaker than she is. Srs.]

[Hermione seems to consider this carefully. While she'd never grown friendly with any of them, the angels had always seemed like decent enough individuals, if a bit on the self-righteous side. But then, she could certainly understand that. And when it comes to Tom Riddle... well, no one deserves to suffer the same fate as the wizarding is currently suffering.]If you mean to know his limits, then I'm afraid I can't be the help you'd want me to be. He doesn't let anyone close to him except those whom he trusts, and I daresay those people are few and far between. I'm familiar with his future self, and I know that his cruelty knows no limits, but I can say nothing for the full extent of his abilities, as I've been lucky enough not to suffer his direct power. I do know that now, as he is here in Adstringendum, he is nowhere near as invincible as he is in my time, owing to him having his original wand and to the fact that his soul is still intact, or close to it ( ... )

[Hermione, you're her favorite. When the revolution comes, you can die last.]

The name means nothing to me. I have heard that he intends to work a spell involving his own soul.

[Yay-... ish.]

Yes. As death occurs when the human soul leaves the body and travels on to places unknown, one can cheat death by forcibly splitting the soul in two, and keeping the other half bound to the earth within an object. Unless the Horcrux is destroyed, the individual can't truly die.

[She takes a deep breath, realizing that she's never actually spoken to anyone besides Harry and Ron about this and hoping that she's doing the right thing.] ... in my time, he's made seven Horcruxes.

[Sorry, did you say anything else? Raphael is too busy staring in horror to notice.]

What kind of diseased mind does it take to imagine that depth of profanity?

[Translation: that's fucking disgusting he can go shave his back now.]

[Hermione looks down, wrinkling her nose in her own show of disgust. If she hadn't been living with this idea for over a year, she'd have that initial look of horror, too.]

One that fears its own mortality. One that confuses eternal life with eternal power. A mad, bigoted, self-centered megalomaniac, to state things plainly.

Any man who willingly seeks to become an abomination deserves everything that comes to them and more.

Tell me what becomes of him in your time.

[Feed her schadenfreude.]

Harry, Ron, and I were charged by our Headmaster to search for his Horcruxes and destroy them. Prior to our search, two had already been taken care of: a ring and a journal, the latter unintentionally destroyed by Harry himself when he was only twelve. Since the beginning of our search, we've only recovered one Horcrux: a locket, which Ron ultimately destroyed. We seem to be getting closer to the others and the loss of these Horcruxes is already being felt, as Voldemort is getting more and more desperate to capture and kill Harry. As of my arrival here, however, we don't know where or even what the others are for certain, though I'd been given a clue that I'm sure we'll work off of.

... however, Harry is from a little further ahead of me. According to him, we've managed to destroy almost all of them, save for one. He-... he was on his way to... to do so when he was sent here.

Something troubling you?

[By this point, she's looking away from Raphael, staring absently into space and torn between telling her the plain truth or simply focusing all of her energy on not crying. At the moment, it looks like the latter is winning out.]

... when it comes to Horcruxes, everything troubles me.
