[Pause. Mistrust is her least favorite, especially here- when apparently actual people skills are more helpful than muscle in getting information. The success Rei and Castiel have compared to herself and Lucifer here is proof positive of that. This may require some charade of good faith. So she makes herself look uncomfortable for a moment, as if wrestling with a decision, before tersely confessing:]

Reckon if that much is true you'll have a hard time of it, yeah. [Biting down.] Can't tell you loads. He's evil, suppose that much's obvious. He's the darkest wizard the world's seen in ages. Killed loads of people and all.

We are attempting to do this with a minimum of bloodshed. If a wizard from your world is determined to hide something, do you know how they would go about doing it?
If you would prefer incentive over trust, I assure you that the good will and debt of archangels is more than valuable as an asset.

The only danger Riddle poses is that I do not know his magic. Once I know it, I will easily evade it and put this threat to rest.
He has stolen from us. Riddle means to use the thing as a weapon. I assure you that everybody you are attached to here are at risk.
As a soldier, I understand secrecy. I also understand strategy and alliance. I have less than no reason to use my knowledge against you or those you care about. [Eying him up and down.] I have better things to do.

Yeah? Do realize there's loads more to magic than talking about it for a few minutes, don't you? Takes years for us to learn what we do.
[And he scowls, lips down turned in a bemused fashion as he goes over what's said. After a moment, he shakes his head.] Brilliant. [It's said sarcastically, of course.] Fine, go on, then.

Very well. A complex discipline though it may be, I only need to know a few things. First, how a powerful wizard may hide himself and something he values very, very highly.
Second, the most common offensive magic used in attacks against powerful opponents.
