I forgot I had something serious to say.

Sorry for the dual post in rapid succession, but this has been pissin me off something fierce since this morning. I havn't really been following this too horribly much, just because I havn't particularly had time today. However, I was listening to BBC World News this morning, which is usually a pretty good source for international news and to get a slightly different view on domestic news. It's definately has liberal tendencies... they are british, afterall. Anyways, the story comes on about the "two busses bombed today, at least 15 people killed. This is the first suicide bombing in Israel, since March..." and they went on about it for a while. In the end I realized that they make it sound like it's alright... it's come to be expected so why make a big fuss over it?

I then turn the XM station to Fox News, they had a little bit more coverage and made it look like something that was bad, at least. But, the same thing happens... it's expected, it's looked over.

Since when did it become okay to half-assed support things. The US supports Israel, but yet our people obviously don't give a shit. Sure, we hear a lot of news about the entire conflict. But, everything is delivered in a cold-hearted and impersonal way. Yet, you have bombings in Spain, England, anyplace else in Europe (especially) in the EU; your'e going to hear a lot of emotional news coverage. So, I ask you... if we, as a country, support Israel... why not feel something. Why the hell are we a society of people that feel nothing... people that seem emotionally frozen and concerned only with ourselves, both in our personal lives and in our feelings on domestic and international politics.
