a sudden, angry rant about hair! or: worst girl ever.
I have never known what to do with my hair, only what I don't want done. My face is round. My hair is thick, wavy, and frizzy. It does not ever look straight and silky like a typical Chinese girl's does. *grumpy* And I'm not willing to spend time with treatments or straightening. I hate blowdrying my hair unless I'm in a hurry. Pretty or ugly, I don't know how anyone can spend that much time staring at themselves in the mirror. This isn't a comment on vanity or being shallow -- I just get bored very quickly. HELLO, FACE. HOW'S THAT HAIR COMING. WELL NOT SO GOOD, SELF. IT KIND OF WANTS TO BE A FRO. OH, FUCK YOU AND YOUR WAVY-HAIR GENES, DAD.
I hate chin-length cuts. Layering is a great way to make my hair poofier. I have never noticed any differences in my hair with various shampoos and condtioners. For seven years I chopped all my hair off and was routinely mistaken for a twelve year old Chinese boy by old people and small children. It took me three years to grow it back out, bangs and all, currently to below the shoulders. On a daily basis I am relegated to putting it up into an extremely lazy bun, as in, not even a twisty type, because I can't stand it on my face or neck.
... sometimes it calms down and lies flat after I sleep on it. Aggressively.
Clearly, I should have been born a hairless albino eunuch.
