Over my head
So the last few times I've posted an update they all were regarding the movie. Ohhh the movie.
On Thursday it will be three weeks. I've been in Logan’s Square for three weeks, rendering the movie to make it look good. I should be done with the rendering tomorrow. Should! Then its time to burn it to DVD.
I have to go to Detroit this weekend too. I need to figure things out for the after party and help promote and sell tickets.
Why did i ever think it was a good idea to have a fashion show before the film? Well its to late now. 4 designers, 8 models. 3 wardrobe changes....all in 15 min. We'll see if that happens. It will be exciting.
After party....I've been making visuals for the screens. Why? Because it is a lot easier to just throw the movie on the screens. And i insist on making things harder for myself.
On Friday night I heard "Fanta-C" played at Berlin. For those of you who don't know. Fanta-C is the original song that Christina Morgan sings for the movie. I freaked out when I heard it. To hear something that was recorded weeks ago. Remixed in Switzerland and then Reworked again back in Chicago specifically for your film and then hear it played on a professional sound system on a Friday night and have the whole place dancing to it was one of the most surreal moments I've had in a while. Christina will be singing it at the after party. My friend Greg Haus from Chicago will be our DJ for the night. I can't wait.
I'm also nervous about my parents finally seeing this movie. And the rest of my family too. They are all pretty conservative. And always very supportive of me. But for 1 hour and 45 min they will be exposed to repeated use of the word Fuck, Sexually explicit language, a graphic rape and murder scene, one set of boobs, two dicks and two sex scenes. Keep in mind this stuff doesn't consume the movie. but for my parents knowing that I made this. Who knows what they'll think. Ahhhh....
