Rather than be cooped up in the stupid classroom, Asuka longed to be inside the dungeon with the rescue group. It was so stupid that only those with powers and weapons could go along with it. Looking out the window, hand against her chin, she didn't care at all for Miss Brooke's little game. It wasn't like it was for a grade or anything like that.

Looking in Asuka's direction, she noticed that the girl seemed particularly distressed, so she decided to make her feel special by having her start the class game. "Asuka, right? Why don't you try going first. Make the story really exciting and captivating!"

Sulking over her failure to get in on the dungeon exploration mission, she didn't give a response to Miss Brooke. Instead she smacked her head against the desk, wishing she didn't have to be there.

A game? Was this lady serious? She tries to think of school at the academy had ever been canceled due to some kind of emergency, but actually... there hadn't been any emergencies like this then. And she's pretty sure that even if there were, the students would've been kept oblivious. And if it happened at school? Hm...

Maybe they just shouldn't have been here. The humor of this whole "game" thing was definitely lost on them, but she shrugs and leans disinterested on her elbows anyways.

Now Miss Brooke's attention went toward Rukia, who seemed to be even more distressed than her other students. "Hey," She walked over to her desk, arms in front of her body. "How about you play along with the rest of the class?"

Rukia looks up and blandly tells the teacher, quite frankly, "Ma'am, I'm in the military in my world. When anomaly strikes like this, we don't have our students play games," she assumes. "We figure out a plan to combat the anomaly as one team. After all, school in my world is to become militarily prepared. It's like hands-on training. This," she gestures to the game-playing, "Is a little coddling, isn't it?"

And so maybe she was callous, but she's said what she'd wanted to.

A bit confused by what Rukia was saying, she merely tried to put on her best smile and nodded along with each word she said. "So.......does this mean you don't want to play along?"

"No. I want to help on the home front by doing the best I can be it in defense or strategy. I don't want to play along."

Getting annoyed now...

Rose hadn't known the people who had been kidnapped, but the fact that such a thing had actually happened here made her a little nervous. (Okay, maybe more than a little.)

"Maybe we should have another investigation."

"Another investigation?" Miss Brooke's duty was to keep the children out of trouble, so to let them snoop around the school was probably a bad idea. "Dear...I don't think it's safe enough for any of you to go digging up clues in the school for now."

She leaned back in her chair. "What about police?"

"I'm not sure the police can help against what took your teacher, Rose." Miss Brooke worried that she was causing an alarm to the little girl and her classmates, so she decided to lighten the mood a bit. "Would you like to begin a story for the game?"

"No," she said decidedly. "Can't the police help against anything? They're the police."
