Already in the classroom, and pretty much prepared for anything, Edward found himself a little surprised. It was her first appearance, yet she was already making that many mistakes? Maybe she was new? But hey, if he had pulled stunts like that back during his State Alchemist examination, he probably would've been cut loose immediately. Not wanting the classroom to fall into some sort of chaos, he figured he might try to make himself useful.

"Miss Brooke, if you don't mind, I'd be happy to take care of the books for your next class. Looks like you've got plenty to worry about as it is."

Smiling at him, she replied, "Thank you. You must be my new aide. I had a paper with your information on it." Miss Brooke looked over the top of her desk, noticing that the sheet was buried in a pile that was already there for the past few days. "...I'll need to look for it first!"

"Don't worry about it." Ed replied, a little nervous at how things were going. "The name's Edward Elric, and I know my way around books. That's really all you need to know."

"Edward? Oh! I had a cousin named that. ...Or was it...my cousin's friend?" Miss Brooke thought for a moment before shaking her head. She certainly didn't want him to think she was an airhead. "So, Ed, would you like the lowdown on the class curriculum?"
