Raising her hand timidly, Tohru was the first to speak. "E-excuse me, headmistress...I have something to ask..."

At least this girl was wearing her uniform. But Matron still figured she was some little tart who was more interested in boys and monkey business than in her own education. "Yes, dearie?"

"I was wondering...if one of us needed to retrieve something from the train...like a prized possession or something to eat even, would we able to with your permission?" She hoped the answer would be a 'yes' so badly.

She let out a mocking laugh, directing her visage straight at Tohru. "No. You cannot. Next question?"

The response was not what she had expected, particularly the cruel laugh. "B-but what if it was something really, really important..?"

"Maintaining order," she spoke right after her, "is much more important than petty concerns such as that." That was all she wanted to say on the subject.

Slumping down in her chair, she looked down at her folded hands. So she was going to have to break the rules after all. This wasn't going to end well, was it? But she was determined to help Buguese get something to eat.
