Walking calmly into the arcade, Hojo stopped as he noticed a girl in a lab coat dancing on a colored floor to a rather charming song. Noting her attire and deciding she looked as scientifically minded as he was, Hojo strolled nearer to the machine.
"Why hello," He began, looking the girl over, and noticing her slight resemblance to Lucrecia. "... What kind of game're you playing? It looks... Mildly interesting." He stepped to the side of the contraption, and smiled at her. He now noticed that it resembled something he might've seen on a company visit to the Gold Saucer.
"... May I join you?"

His voice spooked her a little, but she shot him a shy smile when she looked toward him. Judging from the way he looked, he appeared to be a man of science like she and Dr. Horrible were! Maybe it would be a good idea to get to know him.

"I wouldn't mind, no. But this game is harder than it looks." Glancing at the machine, she added, "And the game is rude to people who don't play well."

"Rude to...?" Hojo began to cackle, amused by the fact someone would program a machine in such a way. "Well, I'll teach it to laugh at Doctor Hojo!" Stepping onto the second set of flashing arrows, Hojo waited as the song the girl had been playing came to a stop, tapping one foot impatiently.

When she saw that he hadn't been moving, she glanced at him somewhat irritably. "That's not the way it works." At least he could have asked her to read from her notes to explain the object of the game.

"I figured I'd be best to leave you to finish your song." Hojo explained, trying to keep his temper under control as he felt it begin to flare. She had no right to assume he was incompetent. He had created a god, he could triumph over any silly dance game he wanted.

"FOUR EYES HERE WOULD PROBABLY GET HIS FLOOR MOPPED EVEN BY SOMEONE AS SUCKY AS HER." As usual, the DDR machine felt the need to put in his unwanted two cents. Crazily, it blinked its lights in several colors until stopping on white.

"See?" Ema crossed her arms as she pouted her lip at it.

"Four eyes?" Giving off another malicious laugh, Hojo leant to pick a song off the list that had appeared. "Remind me to disassemble you later, machine." Tapping the 'down' button again and again, he eventually came to a song that looked promising, and hit the 'yes' button. As the intro began to play, he leant back on the bar behind them, shooting a glance at the young scientist beside him.

Nodding, she felt that she could handle that song. "Try not to pay mind to the machine, just let your body do the talking!" It seemed that Sawyer's previous words to her had made quite an impression on her. Carefully, she tried to balance her sights on the screen with the movements she made.

Stepping hard on one of the arrows, Hojo frowned as a green bar on the upper right side of the screen lowered.
"Is the game mocking me?" Furiously, he stomped on more of the arrows, watching as the bar rose again. He was getting the hang of it! Left, right, left, left, up, down, up-down... Hojo slipped as two arrows went by at the exact same time. "How am I supposed to hit both at once?!" He snarled.

"You're supposed to jump up when there's two arrows at once." Demonstrating her point, she jumped when there were two arrows to the left and right coming up. "I didn't know how it worked at first either."
