"This isn't my usual type of game, but it sounds amusing," Masako commented, as she studied the board wondering what she was supposed to do exactly.

Ran wandered over, nodding in agreement with Masako. "It's fun. Do you know what it's about?"

She stared at it a little harder, not wanting to come off as completely clueless. Too bad she'd never played it before. "Well... not really. Tell me."

"It's a murder mystery game. You need to figure out who killed the NPC."

"Ah! I see. Well, I suppose if I'm going to play, I should know the rules first."

Digging into her pocket, she handed Masako a brochure that included the rules in it. "Just read through that. It's not too difficult to understand."

"Thank you."

She began skimming through it. "Seems a bit complicated. Perhaps next time we can just play Battle Spirits. Not that there will be a next time, since I plan to get off of this train, but if there was."

Ran wasn't sure what Battle Spirits was, but she didn't want to seem too nosey about it. Those day were over for her...

"You do know that you can't leave, right? The train has a pull on the passengers and they're unable to leave whatever town they get to." She did want to be blunt about that, though. On second thought, it might have been better to just inquire about Battle Spirits.

"It's only a train," she replied, as if it was obvious. "I'll probably never find Toaru city again without a good map, but when it stops, how could it really keep us on?"

Realizing the fact that yeah, she likely was helplessly lost forever was a bit depressing even if she could get off.

She couldn't help but smirk. "You still think it's just a train?"

Well, she didn't really know, but felt a lot better thinking that way, so..
"Right. Because how else will I leave if it isn't? Umm... you wouldn't happen to have a good map, would you?"

"No, I don't." Ran began to gather all the game pieces to place them in their designated spots.

"That's too bad," Masako sighed. "Maybe if he's not completely furious, I can call Number Nine to get a ride back for me. No, how would I even explain to him?"

She looked up at Ran. "Uh... never mind! Let's just focus on Clue again."

Giving her a small laugh, she looked up at Masako. "You really should try to relax more, beautiful."

Though flattering, she was a bit surprised by that comment.

"My loyalty is a point of pride. I'd never run away from a mission, even if it's the fault of being trapped here!"
