Austin -> Foster Choco and Save a Life
UPDATE: In a strange turn of events, Choco has been picked up by his previous family (the ones that dumped him there in the first place...)

I met Choco quite awhile ago and from what I saw, he is a great and loving puppy. Choco is currently at Town Lake Animal Shelter and will be euthanized tomorrow without someone fostering him. If someone could foster him, even for a short period of time so we could get photos of him to find a more permanent home, that would be great. Here's the message I received today:

3 years ago I found a puppy on the side of the road (Choco), got him
neutered / shots / etc, found him a "forever" home... skip forward 3 years
and I just got a call from the Town Lake Animal Shelter (a kill shelter)
saying that the lady brought Choco in and dropped him off. The lady's
daughter was there crying... Choco was just lying down next to the lady
being totally calm... and the shelter staff immediately saw how nice Choco
is and tried very hard to convince the lady to not put him into the
shelter. That didn't happen.
The shelter first called Blue Dog Rescue (who helped me find Choco a home) -
who has zero room for Choco. They then called me, but I'm now in a smaller
apartment with 2 dogs (one of which that doesn't love that many other
dogs). I'm at a complete loss of what to do.
Choco is at Town Lake Animal Shelter in Austin Texas (512-972-4738) and his
number there is 520099. They are going to euthanize him tomorrow.
I am in DC right now and totally busy. If you can please send this along to
someone or help Choco yourself you would be my hero.
