good.
i'm feeling really good right now.
this weekend was so refreshing. really laid back, and having beautiful days helps alot. i love the sunny days up here. because it's enough where one is warm from the sun, yet not hot and sticky and smelly. just all around beautiful days.
i went to the beach last night with leslie and mariko. and it was a great night to do so, it wasn't as cold as it usually is, and it was just really nice to be at the beach at night. we smoked and leslie and mariko were fucking around and i was just observing everything there was to experience. there was this huge bonfire going on, and after everyone left we sort of took over the fire. i love fire. fire is great. just watching the flames dance, hearing it crackle and having it warm my face as the cold wind blew and the the waves thrashed onto shore... it was beatiful.
and it reminded me again how much i love BSC folk. it's really good to hang with BSC folk, because i know they're good folks, yet it sucks because there are all these folks i will never really get to know because of all the distance and circumstance that get in the way. so i feel really blessed to have the BSC friends that i do have.
but then again, it's not like my other friends suck ass. because they don't, they're really great too. like, there are the kids i've known from middle/high school who knew me as a child and are folks i've grown up with in the past decade. these cats have been there when most of the important life moments have happened. and then there are folks in my life now that i've just met in the past few years who are just as amazing and beautiful and are just as instrumental to me in finding my path. damn...
during appreciations last year, [at my job, we appreciate all the things we're thankful for] we were talking about our greatest achievements, and mine was meeting and knowing all the folks i call friends/family. wow. thank you for being beautiful and reminding me that not all people are assholes. hmph. thinking of you makes me happy. heh.
but that's totally off tangent, i was going to talk about drumming today. i went drumming today, sort of. cause i met up with leslie and mariko over at the berekely flea market and there was this drum circle going on, and they were just fucking kickin' down, it was great. afterwards we went to this warehouse studio where 5 or so people were bangin' on the drums. mariko and leslie joined in, i played the thingys you shake and it makes the rattling sound. even though it got taken away from me, it was pretty dope. afterwards we kicked it at leslie's, making a simple dinner and sitting around.
i just feel good. spring is here and i already feel rejuvenated. it's nice, you know?
