(no subject)
just got back from nyc. it was a really great trip and really just what i needed. i forgot how much i missed cait and rowen. it was great seeing them both. a lot happened, probably too much to write in this, but just know that it was fun.
the trip made me realize that i really want to travel more. i feel so free when im traveling, there's nothing really tying you down. everything is more or less up in the area. there also is just something very comforting about going to a place miles away from where you live and seeing familiar images and places. i saw things in long island that could have been straight out of md and that made me happy. i also feel like it is so much easier for me to think. i thought about a lot of things on this trip, especially since i had lots of down time between all of the train rides that i took.
also the craziest thing happened on the ride back. i was sitting around waiting for the bus to get going, and i had actually taken an earlier bus home than i was supposed to. i was looking outside at the people boarding the bus and i saw one dude and thought to myself "wow, that looks like drew gardner" and then he got on the bus and i realized that it was drew gardner. it was very random and we both were pretty shocked about it. i went to high school with drew and probably havent seen him since graduation so it was good to catch up with him for the length of the trip.
there's two more weeks until school starts and i really want to make them count. although im really excited to get back to school. im ready to get focused on things that actually matter, like graduating.
im going to drive up to see my grandparents on tuesday which should be fun. i need to start putting family ahead of other things.
