OK, so here goes sleep...
...and then it's up and at 'em... my friend Earle is picking me up at 6:30a and we are off to the hospital in Burbank. I check in at 7, and at 9 they repair my shoulder. This shoulder (left) got hurt back on November 30th of last year when I took a tumble on Vine St. just above Sunset, while walking in the rain (not with the one I love) wearing some very slippery soled John Fleuvog shoes :)
I noticed the pain some time after the new year, and it was nagging, and I thought it would go away. X-rays, doctors, surgeons, MRIs, cortisone shots (two) and acupuncture later it has come to this... a partial tear of the rotator cuff.
I'm fairly broke, but praise credit, I bought a 600+ dollar La-Z-Boy chair that will be delivered to my home tomorrow, because I tend to sleep on my belly, and with this apparatus that I will be wearing, I have to be in a chair for at least a week or so, and since I don't plan on learning how to sleep on my back, probably 4 to 6 weeks will be spent in that chair at night.
Well, Dr. Powell is my surgeon, but it's in God's hands.
I'll be home by mid-afternoon, I expect.
I'm confident I will be able to get through this with just a handful of tantrums :)
