I have a little boy in my class who could use some help. His Mom had noticed a couple of weeks ago that he was tired and not eating well, and took him to the doctor. They put him on antibiotics, and sent him home. When his Mom was giving him a bath, she noticed a lump in his stomach - long story short, he has cancer, and a large tumor in his stomach which is wrapped around several organs including his heart. They are going to start chemo on him this week to hopefully shrink it, so then it may be able to be removed. They are also checking to see if the cancer has spread to other parts of his body. At the moment, he's only been given a 30-40% chance of survival, and they're not really giving him more than a year. So there are two reasons I am sending this out - one, because I feel like I need to do something to help, and two - he needs your help.
He needs people to go to Carter Blood Care and donate platelets or blood. He needs the platelets more than whole blood donations, but both would be greatly appreciated. If people go in, and tell them you are donating for Bronson Balzac born on 2/01/2001, and let me know so I can let the parents know, then they will get credit for the donation. If anyone does do this, please reply back to this message, so I can let the parents know so that they will be able to get the credit. Thank you, thank you, thank you!
