Its me again! You've all been very good at getting my name right! I'm impressed! I guess I'm supposed to make this like a talking diary? Keep everybody updated?

I didn't notice it really until people mentioned not having meat around that I haven't been eating any. That's a food group missing, you know.  I'd better eat some beans or have some more ( Read more... )

I didn't know the mansion was vegetarian! I thought it just wasn't giving me any meat 'cause I wasn't asking for any. What are tomatoes?

I don't know any really fun places yet, but the pools will be fun in summer. But I could heat them up right now, if anyone wanted to go swimming!

Tomatoes? You mean if their're fruit or vegetable? They're actually fruit, but most people think they're-

Oh you mean you haven't ever had them? They're red. And round. And have squishy slimy seedy insides!

You could? I'd like to go swimming!

Nope, never had one! I've had enough cabbages to last a lifetime, though. They sound like fun. Do they make a nice splat when you throw them at people?

Great! Indoors, or outdoors? It's fun to go swimming in a hot spring out in the snow, but I bet it's also fun to go swimming in winter and not have to dry off in freezing cold.

Cabbage, huh? They stink when you cook them, I can only eat it in coleslaw. Yep! You use them on bad joke-tellers!

Yeah, lets just use the inside pool. I don't feel like freezing my butt off!

Yeah, cabbage can get pretty stinky. I've run into a LOT of cabbages.

Really? Do you have to do that? I should get some in case Sokka shows up here.

Inside pool it is! I've never tried heating that much water. I hope I get the temperature right.

Why? Are you some kind of...cabbage enthusiast?

Sokka's a bad joke teller?

Well...we can always toe-test. I've never been swimming in February!

No way! But I keep running into this guy who is.

Yeah, but somehow, they're always funny anyway . . . I think you just have to get used to him.

Okay. Sounds good. Neither have I, actually! I only just learned Firebending this summer.

Maybe its fate! Do you get Cabbages read in your tea leaves?

My dad's jokes are sort of that way.

Is it hard to do?

Huh? No way, that'd be silly! Well, maybe not SO silly - I did get my fortune read on a bone once. It was pretty accurate.

What's your dad like? Do you get along?

It's . . . harder than airbending. Sometimes I'm a little scared of it, because the first time I was doing it, I didn't listen to my master and I hurt one of my friends. I felt so bad I never wanted to firebend again.

Zuko keeps yelling at me because of it. He says that if I'm afraid of fire, it'll destroy me. I think he's exaggerating.

On a bone? Wow. Creepy. The ladies who lived downstairs from me did it in tea leaves.

He's...my father? He's okay I guess. He's a little weird but funny sometimes, and...I guess he's creative, but most of that goes into work and dinner, which really shouldn't be so creative, I think. We don't fight, really, its me and my mom that argue a lot.

Fire can hurt, yeah. I burned my hand a little once... it itched and got a blister.

...I think you can be afraid of things and still be brave enough to do them anyway.

She read the cracks it made when she left it in a fire.

That's great! Not that your mom and you argue. All that stuff about your dad.

Katara's a healer, though. We found out after that, so it was okay . . . but still. I didn't like that I'd hurt her.

Oh, I know you can do that. You must be brave too.

Sounds pretty cool.

...right. Well, dad says its a 'phase'. They've got books about it, about how mom's fight with their daughters when they start getting older because it's proven psychology-stuff, but its written out all so boringly I haven't really tried understanding it.

Yeah. That's a tricky think to try and face again.

I try!

Nevermind! Some kind of science where they try and make sense of your brains.
