It would be a downright lie to say that there was not the least bit feeling of dejection in her as she hears them tell their vows to each other by the marble altar - with him looking as handsome as ever and her looking immaculate and beautiful in her wedding dress (in that one event Ruka had wished to the very core of her soul that she would be the one standing beside him). A long time ago, there was resentment to be felt for anyone who dared come near him but then as she stepped back and looked at the bigger picture of these two, it was wholly apparent in both of them that they cared for each other very much. And that was something impossible to be interfered with.
Her ashen hair sways gently with the wind and she raises a hand to tuck a wayward strand behind her ear but someone does so before her. Ruka is distracted momentarily enough to avert her eyes from the kissing couple and turns to look at the person beside her.
"Ruka." Deep, yet serene. Powerful. Like the waves of the ocean crashing against the rocks.
She smiled.
