[Drabbles] Piece of Sanity and Living Dead

Note/s: First two of the four drabbles I did while my internet connection was spazzing a couple of weeks ago.
Those dreary nights, with cold that reached to the bone and the streetlamps that flickered everytime she passed by them... It had been the same since he had so mysteriously disappeared, without a trace of what once was strong and immovable left. It was very unusual of him to leave them there without a word to her. And now the only thing she was capable of was walking aimlessly through dark alleys and sitting on lonely park benches. Wherever he had went, he had taken that little piece of sanity she had with him.

They glide along the dancefloor like water on a marble countertop, liquid on a hard surface. She is pliant in his arms, twisting and bending every which way he told her to. In retrospect, it was what she had been brought up to act, how time had worn her out into something that followed his every whim. Surprisingly, it did not appeal to him as much as he supposed it should. She is like a broken marionette as he lowers her into an elegant dip, nine sets of eyes following their course as they move slowly on the floor. He muses - with a small sense of regret - that she had been more alive when it was not he who she had been dancing with. Then when he presses her against his chest and a small spark of what was once there flitted through her eyes, he thinks she doesn't have a choice anyway.
