Narcissists & sociopaths/white supremecists/"great guys" are not who I want in office. Please, please, please get your act together and block their appointments with fire and tiny sharp legos. I am also tired of being told to give the guys a chance when their damn political history is against civil rights, against protections for everyone not white, male & rich and they have a history of even being rebuffed by republicans since the 1980s because their politics were too white nationalistic. D<
At least it seems like a chunk of congress and legislature is increasingly sounding like they want to block said appointments, but I don't actually know how well that will go.
Also, now we've got recounts. Which I think are needed in certain states, especially in states where there's already some audit-worthy news coming out (already a chunk of 5,000 counts being incorrect for Trump & the lead was only 27,000ish apparently). Whether this changes anything (new president-elect/more audits/changes to the election system/etc.), I have my doubts.
It is nice to see that the noise level against Trump and Republicans isn't going down anytime soon. It's not a damn mandate when someone is losing the popular vote by 2 million votes. A lot of the swing state wins were not mandates, either, since a handful were within 1% of each other. It's also not a mandate when Trump has some of the lowest popular voting levels ever for a president-elect. I am tired of listening to the Republicans crow their win, and demand the ones worried about a Trump presidency shut up and stay in their corner when I spent 8 years listening to them bitch and whine about President Obama being a terrorist dictator who was ruining their lives....also, the amount of marches against Obama's 2nd term win, his 2nd amendment proposals or his support of Black Lives Matter, etc, were certainly not what I called giving him a chance or giving him their support. But I forgot, those were 'Freedom Marches' and not 'losers being babies'.... :wtf:
If Trump stays in power (most likely, eugghhhh), at least I hope we continue to see micro-movements to help combat against any more gains in power from the far-right side...If we maintain enough micro-movements, we might even be able to boost Democratic participation in mid-term elections and that will help 2018, 2022, etc, much more than winning a presidency will as long as Congress & the Senate continue trending large Red gains during mid-term elections.
