sunday
I have two sets of good news... first off I got my shirt back and it smells awful. Second off I decided to randomly check ticketmaster.com to see what shows are at what places in the tri-state area soon. There were 210 results. Around 180 I found this one that said COHEED AND CAMBRIA. My heart jumped out of my chest. I clicked on it and apparently Coheed is headling a show at Irving Plaza on March 28th. The catch is that it is a Sunday. Come on kids, you can throw a shit-fit and let your parents allow you to go. The tickets went on sale 2 days ago and it still not advertized on the Co&Ca site. It is, however, on the ticketmaster site and the irving plaza site... so I'm going to buy my tickets after I talk to EJ tomorrow. Shit, I really am going to be broke... I'm going to go estimate how much the prom is going to cost. Okay, I give up. I'm going to be safe and say a thousand. That includes the Prom itself, the limo, my dress, alterations, post prom activities, hair, nails and whatnot, make-up, corsages, shoes, undergarments, jewelry. Anyone have anything I didn't list? That's fucking INSANE. Then for these upcoming shows - the ska is dead tour, $20 for the ticket, $20 for a full tank of gas, $10 for parking and $30 for merchandise. That's me rounding up. But still... ack, we should split the gas and parking. But even so that's over $50. Okay, lets say Catch 22 shirts are $10 (I hope) then that would cut it down $20 so I'd spend $30 on just the ticket and merchandise. Shit. I have NO money whatsoever right now. Then there's Streetlight Manifesto - I have no fucking clue how to get tickets. Apparently you have to get them at the door... this place is in Connecticut... So then I'd need $30 for the merch and ticket and $20 for the gas. Then there's Mest at Starland. Their shit is expensive, I know that. $15 for a shirt then $20 for the ticket and the gas once again, hopefully I'll be smart and fill it up in jersey. In that case it will be like $15 so essentially the money I'll be spending on the shirt I'll be saving on the gas. $50 once again... Shit. Then there's thrice on the $20 at starland then coheed on the 28th. That's a fuckload of money. At least $250. I don't have that! and I already owe ma $230. Then the Prom shit. Fuck a duck in his asshole. Well... once I stop worrying about the money I think I'll talk about bands, in a nice way. My list of bands that I've seen: 3 Monkees Named Bob, Allister, Almost a Conspiracy, As Friends Rust, AutoPilot Off (2x), Bigwig, Bleed the Dream, Boys Night Out, Butcher Boys, Catch 22, Coheed and Cambria (2x), Cujo, Days Away, Don't Look Down, DDF, Dropkick Murphys, Faster than Sound, Finch (2x), Flogging Molly, God the Band, Gone Too Far, Good Charlotte, Glassjaw, Larson, Less than Jake, Lost City Angels, Next II Nothing (a hell of a lot of times), No Use for a Name, Pennywise, Promonroe (a hell of a lot of times, but a couple less than NIIN), Simple Plan, Southcott, Snapcase, Suicide Machines, Taking Back Sunday, The Exit, The Movielife, The Paragraph, The Starting Line, The Stryder, The Toasters, The Used, Thrice, Three, Thursday, Useless ID, and Yellowcard. Most of them are from Warped Tour 2002 and 2003. I started keeping track after like a year of going to shows, so I've seen more bands, I just don't remember. I love Warped Tour. It's just amazing. I also didn't list how many times I've seen Counter Culture/Exit 2/From the Heart of Africa and The Decepticons/Generic Audio Garbage and Silence the Feedback... So yeah. I don't have too many Rockland bands on that list. It's cool though... I think. Oh yeah, Next II Nothing is doing a show on the 20th too in Poughkeepsie. This is called The Neesh being broke. This is called the neesh being up until the same time as yesterday except she's not coming back from a show, she's awake complaining after a night of dinner and pool with EJ, Aaron and Jose. This is a very stressed neesh. Neesh has to wake up tomorrow because she has things to do and a mock trial meeting from 1 to 5. Ack, this entry is deserving of a countdown
