::A roleplay between Deidara (Kale), Itachi (Whitney), and Gaara (Me). Short summary -- The three of them are on the way back from Konohagakure's chunin exams and Itachi is under the assumption that they are to return directly to Suna, though two come up with other plans of their own.::

::Ooc:: lol, you're fine.

Gaara held a disconsolate expression to make certain Deidara was aware that he was to be taken every bit of serious here and at the question his head moved in the smallest of shakes to answer. In fact, the blonde's questioning brought him a soothing relief by now knowing that at least the artist was on the same page as he interest wise. Gaara was aware that Deidara was open to new things though the young Kazekage had thought some persuasion would have needed to been given. Revelling that it wasn't so here he decided blessings were not to be questioned. Deidara easily showing that his attention was caught only saved him from voicing embarrassing details of the dark idea he had stirred from the depths of his mind. The other male however.. would not be so easy to agree. Musing over that the sharp gaze slid to resided on the elder Uchiha's form in bottled dismay; the stride still piercing him enough to cause an inward wince. No, he knew the Sharingan user too well to foresee an open mind to such a random experiment, in which, Gaara swore over himself to conduct only this once. "Itachi will not comply to this.." He cooly returned. Turning his head towards Deidara once more the crystalline vision fixated on his friend and soon upcoming ally to soak in any reaction. "Working with your.. art, I plan to rectify this misfortune." The passive expression Gaara had managed so well to withold the entire time of this unusual conversation failed at this point, leaving him with a confident smile at the corner of his lips; small as it was, the gesture was still visible. Despite him going against Itachi, his male, the jinchuuriki's heart began pounding louder and louder against his chest in excitement of any possible battle -- the Shukaku sealed inside his slight build still holding more of an influence over him than what Gaara would ever admit. A deadly hiss of grinding smoothed over earth filled his keen hearing and to his best extent in composure the redhead kept the roused element at bay and silenced; merely awaiting the blonde's answer to his proposal to approve that nagging temptation of releasing said restraint.

[ooc: *huggles Arielle* At least SOMEONE loves me T^T]

Deidara wasn't exactly sure which game Gaara was playing at here, but his nod of assurance put the blond's apprehension at ease. If there was one thing even he knew better than to mess with, it was the Kazekage's lover--that would surely warrant a instant cause of death. And while Deidara feared no man or death, he rather liked living and would rather just avoid dying altogether for now. "Good. Because honestly, I wouldn't have minded at that time either.. un," the artist responded quietly, hoping Itachi wasn't a ninja of super-hearing.

The rather obvious statement of Itachi's hesitancy to such an idea put these two shinobi on the same page and Deidara nodded in return, silently agreeing that there would indeed be need of persuasion. If that was even possible. Would Itachi ever agree to such a thing?? Deidara didn't think it was likely, not willingly at least, but he was willing if Gaara was inviting. "My art is pretty mind blowing.. un," the artist followed up confidently as he turned his gaze ahead of him, now finding the sight before extremely interesting.

"Then blowing his mind should not be a problem to you and me.." He purred quietly with matching confidence. Deidara's words could only be taken as his sign to begin making this twisted fantasy of theirs a truthful reality that had no chance of being denied today. By no means was the elder Uchiha one to underestimate, however, Gaara had experienced hands on the strength an alliance between Deidara and he contained. If he could remember correctly, both fought with further determination to keep the other safe. Here, the slight difference in hightened inspiration was to ensure one another's satisfaction. Sealing his logic, Deidara wouldn't disappoint, and neither would he. Releasing the restraint held to silence the sand the soothing sound soon resounded the area as a heavy mist of sand spun rapidly at the small of Gaara's back in an almost magnetic vortex; spreading north and south to swiftly solidate that oval shaped calabash. Gaara's expression remained unchanging to the added weight that nearly beat his own by threefold and held his regal pale vision ahead on Itachi; their prize (who more than likely heard the sands bold statement and challenging whispers). There was no going back from here and surely Deidara knew the same. Calmly the redhead came to a stop. "Itachi~" He called with what sounded like little interest to simply catch the dark haired male's attention further and from the very name the sand within the gourds hard confines stirred -- gradually calming after a brief display of it's tension. "Our return to Suna will have to wait." The pale crystalline pools were unmistakably centered below Itachi's eye level as his own warning to the other his intentions of battle. The other discreet message to his male was sent by not instantly sending an attack (knowing just how he would take that), letting him know this wasn't a betrayal against him as much as it were a spur-of-the-moment decision between the blonde and he. These were the only silent ways that the redhead could think of in compliance to knowing his male and therefore make an attempt to not have him take this in the wrong manner; though, his true intentions would not be given off at this point in time either.

Deidara couldn't help but grin at Gaara's agreeing words, "No problem at all.. un." That seemed to be the signal to commence with this as the Kazekage's sand suddenly went to work. Taking his own preparations, the blond slowly unzipped both bags that contained his special clay attached at his hips--the sounds of stirring sand and parting zippers mixing menacingly, and no doubt already warning the prophetic ninja ahead. The manifestation of the heavy gourd boldly stated the other's being ready and the artist came to a halt at the red head's side. He remained silent as the younger ninja beckoned vocally to the Uchiha, though he couldn't help the grin that took over his face.

As Itachi turned to face them, he would no doubt be tipped off by the sinister grin that great mischief was to be had. Sliding his hands into the bags at his sides as Gaara finished speaking, Deidara quickly followed up, "We gotta little...game we want you to play.. un."

Itachi had chosen to ignore the whispering going on behind him. Surely if it was something of importance to him, he would have been made aware of the words in the conversation. It was obviously just another trivial spat between the two younger shinobi; something that held no interest to the Uchiha at all. The added sounds of restless sand and moving zippers only led him to believe that he was about to be quickly commissioned into breaking up another meaningless fight. Perhaps one day, Deidara would realize when to keep his mouth shut and what not to say.. one day. But he kept walking, remaining minding his own business until it was clearly evident that they were fighting.

But upon the unexpected call of his name, that was neither urgent or frustrated, the Uchiha slowly came to a stop before slowly looking over his shoulder and turned his body to face the others as well. He frowned at the Kazekage's words, and that frown deepened at noticing the other's unwillingness to meet his eyes. 'An attack..' his thoughts murmured quietly; heightening his already agitated nerves from spending so much time in Konohagakure. Just as he was about to demand an explanation, the eldest shinobi was provided with Deidara's words. The fact that he wasn't being betrayed lowered his anger a bit, but the fact still remained that he was no where near a mood to be played with. "Play with one another. I'm in no mood for games," Itachi responded in his default clipped tone. On another event, he would have turned and began back on his way; but these two were mischievous when on the same idea. Chances were; he was going to end up 'playing', whether he felt like it or not.

The red-head's icy vision remained lower than Itachi's eye level to refrain from entering that distant realm that he had been forced to more times than what he would have liked. In passed dealings with the older shinobi mistakes were made by him but here Itachi would find it a bit more difficult to catch him in illusions. Gaara was wanting something of Itachi's and to himself a promise was mused that he would have what he desired soon enough, with the blonde right at his side. The sand sifted along the inner walls of his calabash before sluggishly seeping out to drop lifelessly at his feet, livening in that very second of meeting the forest floor and shifting to surround Gaara as close possible (one lively flow to this exposed section of sand connected to the rest still inside the gourd). Had he been opposed to any other a swifter approach would have been taken. With Itachi he would calm his hidden excitement and be patient enough to start slow, silently keeping in hopes that Deidara would do the same. "Itachi." The tone emitted from him was serene when speaking of his lovers name, hinting that there was more to be said afterwards, his tone then returning to placid venom. "You don't have a choice." The sand gave no time for any deep contemplation on his words and the first attack was started. A tendril stayed to ground level as it left Gaara's feet and rocketed forward in a what appeared to be an uneven zig-zag motion so it's exact ending location couldn't be easily seen or predicted -- but it would be at some part of the elder Uchiha's body. In the last moment close to Itachi's feet the streaked line of sand lifted from the ground and reached out near the Uchiha's chest (the front end taking on the form of a small hand), having an attempt at grabbing at the dark material. The smoothed over earth that remained with the red-head and not confined inside the gourd continued in small shakey drifts against the ground and the sight to anyone else would seem like pointless movement though while showing itself as alive another purpose for this was in play. By carefully proportioning his own chakra into nearby sand, the minerals inside were crushed and rather aggressively forced into being at his command. Despite this, the fact couldn't be changed that he was far from the desert and his sand would be limited.

No doubt Itachi wasn't pleased to hear that he was about to be playing a game. But Deidara couldn't help but muse to himself that he thought even Itachi would probably enjoy this game at the end of things. He reached up, flipping the switch on his scope to watch Itachi's chakra fluctuation, to be able to tell when the Uchiha was about to do an attack. And as Gaara sent his sand into motion, the blond held his hands out, palms up as the mouths spat up two small insect-like creatures. The bugs leaped from his hands and attached to the Kazekage's sand before quickly scurrying up the length of this twisting body. At the end where a hand formed, looking as if it was reaching out to grab Itachi, the bugs perched on the 'fingers' of the sand, waiting for the moment to when it was close enough to Itachi before Deidara called out, "Katsu!"
