Awesome. What editions are they? Did you know they make subtle changes to the text with each printing, to reflect certain politically correct attitudes, or to sanitize certain unpleasant elements?

1968. i have a couple from the 70's. but they're in terrible condition. it looks like every time i'd finish a nancy drew, i'd promptly draw over all the pages in blue ink :( reminds me of how my five year old cousin colored on some of my comics because they were black and white.

hey, i didn't know that. i guess one summer day, i should sit down and read them, and try to point them out. hehe

Honestly, you wouldn't be able to spot the differences unless you have multiple editions of the same story from different eras. I'll bet there's a whole subculture just devoted to pointing out those changes.

Are you implying a Sailor Moon-esque relationship between Bess and George? I even have the Nancy Drew cookbook. There seems to be a lot of recipes devoted or named for George.

Detective Handbook? Is that the one with all the British caricatures for illustrations? Wasn't that part of a whole handbook series? We are totally going to relive our grade school reading experience in these comments, I swear.

I still have my complete set of hardbound Nancy Drew books! I'm not sure what edition they are but they're old. Some of them are my mom's. (Not to imply that my mother is old, but...)

I loved the crossovers with the Hardy Boys. I just can't remember which brother she had all that sexual tension with.
