An evening with the Dungeon Master

My friday night Dungeons and Dragons (aka the most phenominal game ever played) group, which has been going for a couple years now, decided to abandon our long term story line and high level characters and start off on a new adventure with some level 1 characters.

We decided that all the new player characters would be Gnomes, because everbody loves Gnomes:

For the first time since the group started, I get to play a character that is not the healer. This is a refreshing change since I get to play a character closer to what I want instead of filling a slot needed to round out the group. My new character is a combat oriented mage, which I have been wanting to play for a while given my appreciation for melting faces gained by playing World of Warcraft. My new character's last name is Ubermicro, because he is pro, and not a trained noob.

Although I have been playing D&D for years, I am still unable to cast spells in real life, so maybe I am not playing the game right. I probably need to patronize occult bookstores (places that sell the works of C.S. Lewis and Tolkein according to Jack Chick) more often to learn how to use mind bondage on other people.

I usually play Dungeons and Dragons on most friday nights instead of going out to clubs or whatever the cool kids are into these days, because I am a nerd.

pwnage, dnd, gnomes
