Flying overseas and Christmas time

I have a short, but important question (again).
I want to book a flight back home. It's not my first time doing so, but I was wondering if it's possible to pay in a foreign currency with your Japanese credit card / debit card?
I'd have to pay in €, but I can't use my German credit card as there's a 500€ limit which I can't change.
If I absolutely can't, then I probably have to book via a Japanese website or the airline directly (the latter I already checked and it seems to be more expensive for the dates that I'd need).
Any suggestions?

And a completely different topic, but I was just wondering how everybody is spending their Christmas time here in Japan.
It's my 3rd Christmas in Japan this year and as every year I have to work anyways, but this is actually the first time that I have a little bit of Christmas decoration in my small apartment and even am in a Christmas mood a little bit.
