Book a hotel room online?

Are there websites where I can book a hotel room online? Not just get hotel information, but actually book a room. I can speak Japanese, but due to my phone anxiety (which crops when I'm speaking both English and Japanese), I'd prefer to do things online for when I go to Osaka in a couple weeks and to Hokkaido at the end of December.

I have an American Visa and currently reside in Japan.

I'd appreciate any suggestions!
