I just got back to the United States from studying abroad in Tokyo about a month ago, and I still really miss it (I was squealing all over the place when I found Calpis Water at the foreign food store the other day). I'm an accounting/business major, and recently I've been thinking that when I graduate, I'd like to get a job with a company that has Japanese ties so I have a chance at being expatriated. Are there many people here who are/were in Japan because of their jobs? If so, I was wondering if you could tell me a little about the process - I assume that having lived in Japan before, I would be a good candidate, but if there's anything else I can do to improve my chances, I'd love to hear it. I'd also like to hear about what working there is like, since I assume it's rather different from being an exchange student.
On a side note, if anyone currently living in Japan would be willing to buy something and mail it to me, I would be eternally grateful and would pay the price of the item and shipping plus a commission for your trouble. Please e-mail me at the_happy_lychee at hotmail dot com if you wouldn't mind helping me out!
