im currently a  rotary exchange student living in fukuchiyama kyoto. i`ve only been here about a month...  but i have questions:

1. my host mother spent a very long time trying to get the message across of saying "unzari"/"taikutsu(?)" ..is ok at home... but with other people.. i shouldn`t say it. i was confused as to what to say instead.. (omoshirokunai?) she said it was ok with friends but not to seniors/older people i.e. sensei, rotarians.

2.i have no idea what to do during class. i don`t understand math ((when i did the same in american i barely understood it XD). world history i usually sleep through... my school back in america told me that im not getting any credit for going abroad anyways so... : / im not sure what to do.... only 2 teachers actually took in the extra effort to accomidate(sp) me (home economics and japanese history) and they gave me the schoolbook for math... but i don`t know anything. most teachers (ignore me)  don`t care it seems what i do... so far i`ve been studing my hiragana (soon to be followed by katakana) ...or a read a book... or play with my ketai... or draw/color/doodle.... i need new books... XD

3.making friends probably takes longer than a month... and everyone in my homeroom is cool and doesn`t mind helping me or listening and trying to understand when i want to say something.. but the whole `real friend` thing i don`t think really has happened... it`s hard for me to tell because you could just write it off as being nice....

4. how to i go about learning more vocab? (i`e looked up random words i thought i might want to said and wrote some down during class...) im having trouble with verbs too... (moiteru(to have)? moite? moita?) keep in mind i have had no professical ((classroom)) teacing of japanese whatsoever...since i come from tennessee and my school teaches spanish french and german....

5. i can`t help it.. but there`s nothing better to do here.... ._. and i have no real friends so far so i can`t go out with anyone...which leaves me at home alot...on the computer... and i well i know i should maybe check up once a week month.... and i fell like with all this extra time on the computer im not learning as fast i should... ((plus at school i usually get on the internet with my ketai to cure boredum....)) im running out of books to read and no inspiration to draw. help. PS- im afriad of getting lost if i went exploring.. but i would love to do it...  when it stops raining anf getting dark everytime i arrive home.

6. how do you remember names!?!?! it`s driving me crazy... everyone looks the same and complicated names and when they do english intros.. (my name is...) they say their japanese name really fast and im not sure where their last name ended and their first name began and if they even said it in that order....

sorry for so much. im just a panicy 16yr old.

PSS- I was interested about the Bunka school of fashion/design in Tokyo, but i can`t find any information on it (such as requirements, standards... applications...) im interested in possibly going to the school when i gradutate high school.....
