Shetlands

i'm looking for a room to rent for june and july in the shetlands.
i'll be working at the shetland museum and archive in lerwick so naturally that would be ideal but anywhere on the mainland that is somewhat easy to get to using the bus or on bike would be fine (i suppose other islands would be okay so long as getting to and from lerwick wouldn't be too hard). do you know of anyone who has a room they might rent up there, have any idea of where i might find such a person (the museum is working it from there end but i figured i might as well try all angles). i'm an american female graduating from university in the states in may. i'm clean, quiet and can cook. i'll also be out during the days (working) and probably traveling around the other islands on the weekends. any advice or contacts or ideas would be greatly appreciated.
