I've been living in Reunion island since September with my one true love working as an english teacher. Only now have we really settled in to the drastic change of lifestyle... and our acceptance that we probably still won't understand when people talk in creole by the time we leave. It's the first time I've lived on an island and it makes me claustrophobic at times, there's so much traffic here!
It's hard to believe it's almost Christmas but the colors remain the same; here the trees get lush and green because of all of the rain and red flamboyants and letchis start to bloom and ripen.
