Hi folks,

I'm in the midst of writing an article about moving to another country. In my experience I see three stages that expats go through once they've moved abroad. The Honeymoon period, which I think from the name is obvious. Then a period that is opposite to the Honeymoon, where all the differences can get to you. Then a third and final period where you have adjusted (or left beforehand).

I'm curious as to peoples thoughts on the existence of the three different stages, although I am of course generalising and applying a little artistic license for the sake of the article.

I'm also struggling to think of some punchy/appropriate names for the second and third periods. I had thought of "Adaptation" or "Reality Sets In" for the second. Perhaps "Settled" for the third? Can anyone think of something better, or do you think the names are OK?

Thanks
