Hello everyone!
I'm an expat in transit - currently stuck in US, probably working here for a year before a trip around the world that will hopefully land me in Croatia. I'm a European mutt from Ukraine, but over time have began to feel more like a generic European (although a little bit nostalgic about the Soviet Union), since I never really became American and stopped being Ukrainian. Croatia is a somewhat random place for me to want to move to, but I enjoy being there and can actually stomach the food there, which gives it a lot of plus points already. I'm hoping to wind up there in about two years, and take a language course to better my Croatian - I can already understand and read quite well, I'm just rusty with the speaking (I have a funky accent) and horrible with the writing - and probably even get my graduate degree there. Anyways, it's very nice to meet everyone, and I hope I wasn't being too OT in my ramble.
