Those of you living in Germany will no doubt know about the quirks of renting here.
Just to make sure, does EBK always mean that the apartment includes a stove and a kitchen sink? Does it sometimes mean that only the sink is included? Our landlord is trying to tell us that we paid extra for EBK, but it included only the sink and fixing our oven is not his responsibility.
Also, when you move out, you have to paint, fine. But if the landlord has to make extensive renovations, can they really make you come back and do it three months after you move and/or deduct the cost of painting one, two or three months later from your caution?
Everything sounds fishy, but then so does renting an apartment without a kitchen or flooring but that's just normal here in Germany.
I really appreciate any expertise someone might have in this area.
