It has been proposed that the more one rocks, the harder becomes their inner core, thus we get the term 'hardcore'. But what does it mean to be hardened to the inner most part of oneself? For that matter, what exactly does one mean when using the verb 'to rock'? If one can rock the Kazbar (presumably the french military) then it can easily be seen how a hardening of one's soul or 'core' would follow: with hate, with prejudice, with religious zeal... But say one was 'to rock' a/this funky joint, this would usually imply a loosening of one's composure and a lightening of temperment, in such a case rocking should not necessarily lead to one being hardcore, altho peers may say so as a gesture of fraternity and respect.
Concluding, altho there are direct correlations between rocking and the state of 'hardcore', at this time, the evidence that would place the latter state as the direct result of the former act remains lacking.
