it started recreational; ended kinda medical.

ugh, formatting fail. will fix when i get home. :x

ok. first of all, sid & cassie are still my favorites, both separately and together. love them to teeny little pieces and as far as i'm concerned, sid ABSOLUTELY found her in that diner and they lived happily ever after. the end.

chris. oh, chris. that was heartbreaking and horrible. i cried buckets through his funeral. jal's speech got me going good and then the fireworks really did me in for some reason. plus, the whole thing made me think of better than ezra's "a lifetime" and that song makes me cry because it makes me think of wendy, so yeah. i was a basket case. and i watched it on a plane, squished into the middle seat. D:

i loved dev patel in slumdog but ugh, anwar was such a douche. funny, sometimes, but ugh. maxxie, on the other hand, was just lovely and i enjoyed every single moment that he was onscreen.

i mentioned this on twitter and  anglichanka wanted me to expand on it, so: does anyone else feel like michelle is kind of what marissa cooper was supposed to be? or at the very least, should have been? i feel like i remember josh schwartz talking about marissa early on, and the thought was that she was beautiful and fucked-up but smart and really a kind person. and, like, in one of the first eps of the oc, when the model home gets burned down, she talks about on the road being her favorite book and she's into all this punk rock and whatever, but i never believed that marissa read anything, or that she liked any music more interesting than, like, britney spears. marissa never seemed to me like she had any kind of depth whatsoever.

whereas michelle has some of the same qualities as marissa (she's beautiful, rather self-involved, definitely likes her drugs & booze [altho so does EVERYONE on that show, heh], is a total drama queen when it comes to her relationships, has a mother more concerned with her own love life than her daughter, etc) but just manages to be, i think, much more human and likable than marissa ever was. probably because mischa barton just can't act, sadly, since i feel like if she'd played michelle, michelle would probably be just as insufferable as marissa always was. imo. :)

idk, the main thing that made me think of the comparison was in michelle's ep in S2, when she moves into the house of her mom's newest husband. it totally, for some reason, made me think of the scene in the oc when marissa and julie move into caleb's house.

oh, also, back to skins: sid and tony's goodbyes made me bawl. i love boy bffs and those two were the perfect combination of bromance and angst. "i always loved you best." oh bbs. LOVE. <3333
